Our farm fresh, brown eggs (ungraded), available year round, come from the cutest and friendliest pasture-raised chickens. "Pasture-raised" means that we allow our chickens to blissfully roam on pasture devouring yummy bugs and grass all day long as well as getting a healthy dose of Vitamin D. The results are very content and vigorous chickens, great pest control and fertilizer for us, and healthier and tastier eggs for you. Along with being pasture-raised, our chickens are fed all-natural food containing no animal fats or synthetic fillers. They are not given any steroids, antibiotics or any other medications which keeps them free of any harmful agents that may cause an adverse effect for you, our neighbors, or on the environment.
Rabbittown Farms & Vineyard has large size, UNGRADED brown and pastel green farm fresh eggs. Studies have shown that eggs from cage free chickens are higher in Omega-3 Fatty Acids than the white eggs that you get from the commercial vendors. Farm fresh eggs also have a richer yolk and according to local folks makes much better cakes and pies than the commercial eggs. And no need to add any coloring in your banana pudding!
